| After 12 years in the downtown location,
The Educational Technology Center relocated to a new facility
and is now located at 1150 W. Carl Sandburg Drive on the East
side of Sandburg Mall in Galesburg, Illinois effective
September 2007. The ETC remains as a center to provide
flexibility to be used by partnering institutions, local
businesses, as well as other organizations that seek a
convenient location for conferences, staff trainings,
meetings, and seminars. Faculty and students from the three
institutions as well as businesses can experiment with the
most recent approaches to computer assisted instruction. The
new facility features two general conference rooms and two
computer training rooms. Both conference rooms are equipped
with computers for the presenter loaded with Microsoft Office
2003 (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Publisher),
internet access, wireless internet, ELMO visual presenters,
and projectors. Both the computer training classrooms house
instructor stations and individual workstations which are
ergonomically designed with recessed monitors. The computers
are Dell PC's with Pentium 4 3.4 Ghz CPU's, 1G memory, and
equipped with CD-R/RW, DVD-R/RW, and floppy drives.
